I had a lot of fun writing "Puffins" for my "Oh Lundy Isle" CD. Puffins can be found on Lundy from March to July where numbers are on the increase after rats, which were eating their eggs, have been eradicated from the island. These most characterful and comical birds are under threat from our changing environment where the location of their food source is shifting, causing stress in their normal nesting colonies. Let’s hope we and they can adapt so that we can all continue to enjoy them.
